Heartbreaking audio of a mum’s frantic calls for help have been played to a jury as her ex-boyfriend faces allegations he murdered her toddler.
Jaidyn Gomes-Sebastiao, 2, died from a head injury at a Langwarrin home in Melbourne’s outer east on September 2, 2019.
His mother’s boyfriend, Brendan Pallant, who had lived with the family for less than a month, stands accused of murdering the child and has pleaded not guilty.
On Monday, his trial in the Victorian Supreme Court trial heard recordings of three phone calls between Jaidyn’s mother, Stacie Saggers, and emergency services as she begged them to help her son.
