NASA Satellite Images Show Cities on the US East Coast Increasingly Sinking, One of Which is New York

KOMPAS.com - Satellite images released by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) show land that is sinking beneath major cities in the US, including Baltimore, New York and Charleston.

The images were revealed by NASA Earth Observatory on February 20, 2024.

The image shows land movement across the East Coast, with the dark blue areas sinking the fastest, quoted from Newsweek, Tuesday (20/2/2024)/

This subsidence threatens infrastructure, agricultural land, and wetlands, especially as sea levels rise.
