Three more men have been charged in relation to a riot that broke out near a church in Sydney’s southwest after a religious leader was allegedly stabbed during a service, with one man allegedly throwing a missile at a police officer.
About 2000 people swarmed the area near the Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, rioting and attacking police after a 16-year-old boy allegedly stabbed Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel in an alleged terror attack on April 15.
On Monday evening, police confirmed three more men had been arrested and charged, bringing the total number of men charged in relation to the riot to 14.
