Joey Manu has the third for the Roosters.
The Roosters started their set on the halfway, and they muscled their way into attacking position.
The ball goes to the left and all the big guns are involved — Keary to Walker, to Tedesco, who gives the ball to Manu.
Manu palms off Matthew Timoko and scores.
"He is all class out on that right side. He's such a big and powerful outside centre," Alan Tongue tells ABC Sport.
The Raiders have scrambled well to prevent the Roosters from scoring in the far corner.
A knock-on has been called, and it will be Raiders ball.
The Roosters are trying to claim the ball was stripped away from Joseph Manu. Manu has let go of the ball, trying to trick the officials.
They don't buy it and the Roosters lose their challenge.
It was a slow start to this match for the Canberra Raiders.
They gave up two tries early and it looked as if the Roosters may have had a smooth afternoon.
The last few sets with the ball have been impressive.
They have made plenty of metres against the Roosters defence.
Points are needed to make the momentum count.
James Tedesco crosses the line untouched, but the Bunker has been called in.
Victor Radley ran the decoy and clipped a Raiders defender which created the hole Tedesco ran through.
Radley was able to get onto the inside-shoulder, as required, but he tripped up the would-be defender.
Roosters half-back Sam Walker appears to be limping.
Looks like he may have clashed knees with a Raider in a tackle.
He is staying on the field.
Canberra gets a relieving penalty coming out of their end.
Roosters winger Dominic Young strips the ball which leads to the piggy-back penalty.
And the Raiders have converted this good field position into points.
It was a small kick on fifth tackle, knocked down, backwards, by the Raiders, and Nick Cotric scores collects it and scores.
Elliott Whitehead was the player who knocked the ball down from the contest. Great work.
Ethan Stange was the kicker. It was a pinpoint kick.
A very big moment has come in this game.
Luke Keary fielded a grubber kick for a try, but clearly dropped it.
The Bunker intervenes and finds Keary dropped the ball, but he was illegally held back by Morgan Smithies while chasing.
That is a penalty try.
The crowd does not like this.
Elliott Whitehead is protesting to the referee. To the letter of the law it is a penalty try, despite the fact Keary ultimately committed a knock-on through is own doing.
(AAP)Victor Radley has the opening try of the contest, and it was a little too easy.
Roosters winger Dominic Young started the play wth a 20 metre run, breaking at least three tackles.
Rooster prop Jared Waerea-Hargreaves followed that up with another run up the middle.
Then a shift to the right and Radley was put in a hole and went over untouched.
A lack of intensity from the Raiders to open this game has raised concern for Canberra legend Alan Tongue.
"Too easy alright. There was no defence by the Raiders," he tells ABC Sport.
The Viking Clap rings out around Canberra Stadium.
The Roosters will kick-off, and they are running to the right of your screen.
And the Raiders have a solid start. Five solid hit-ups and a kick downfield.
This game should be fun.
