Security at airports: Through three fences onto the tarmac

Climate adhesives have little trouble getting onto airport premises. The federal and state governments are negotiating stricter requirements.

When asked whether German airports are adequately protected against intruders, Last Generation activists gave their own answer on Thursday night. They stuck to the runway at Leipzig/Halle Airport and blocked freight traffic for three hours. Passenger flights were not affected this time. As in Frankfurt and Cologne/Bonn a week earlier, the climate demonstrators entered the site through holes in the fence.
