Establishment and underestimation: the crisis of political representation and the challenges of the stage
Alghad -
17/03
Political indifference and the state of "rescue" that prevails among large sectors of citizens, coupled with lack of confidence in the feasibility of the reform process, constitutes a political, social and real challenge for the state. If some actors in the political scene continue to deal with them with "condemnation" or ignore, their repercussions will worsen to levels that are difficult to contain.
"Estaba" and political indifference means the citizen's withdrawal from the public scene and the absence of his organized representation in the political equation, because his demands and opinions will become mere separate voices that lose their impact on decision centers. In principle, states do not deal with individuals separately, but rather through social incubators and political frameworks that reflect their orientations and representation, and for this reason political parties and legislative councils were found. As for the absence of these representative channels or their palaces, it will lead to the conflict of interests between the state and society.
The "underestimation" may turn this situation in a moment to a miscalculation, especially with the insistence on being satisfied with the diagnosis of the current party reality and the normalization of its secretions, including internal divisions, leadership conflicts, poor performance and representation, within the context of the "new" political experience. While the reality of the matter indicates that the issue is more complex than that, the current party model currently does not rise to the level of coherent political entities, but rather a distorted model that depends on the dynamism of temporary electoral alert, followed by a return to deep hibernation.
This reality does not offend the electoral rules alone, but also harm the state. The signs of this problem have emerged clearly recently, when the state needed to support its position in the face of the displacement plan and other fateful issues, and the political parties did not rise to the level of the event, and it was satisfied with the issuance of data, while the spontaneous popular movement was more powerful and influential.
More importantly, the absence of organized political interaction within its constitutional channels makes it difficult for the state to measure public opinion in accurate scientific ways. The complexity of this issue increases the poor financing and capabilities in research and studies centers, making the popular mood survey a complex process. Continuing this means that decision makers find themselves in a state of expectation and continuous guessing, relying on prey and experience instead of relying on accurate data and data, which makes the drawing of public policies and taking government positions more complicated.
For fairness, the control of the "Estaba" and "underestimation" equation is not easy, especially at the present time and in light of the tremendous pressure on the resources and financing challenges facing the state. Consequently, the supreme interest requires rapid action and introducing new parties to the equation to ensure the achievement of balances, foremost of which is the "interest groups" that define the term as political or economic groups that differ from political parties as they aim to influence only government policies, without being an official part of them.
This is what the Prime Minister did yesterday, as he clashed effectively with "interest groups" and raised the level of political communications to an advanced stage, and led the intelligence of the initiative with the Banking Association, which resulted in the latter's commitment to allocate 90 million dinars to support the health and education sectors in the context of its social responsibility.
The bet on the continuation of the political scene as it is, without solutions that redraw the relationship between the state and society, and the continued absence of organized representation, will not be merely a passing crisis, but a burden on the state and a crisis for society. The path correction should not be a luxury or a postponed option, but rather a necessity imposed by the reality of the stage and a merit
