A landmark brain tumour study aims to boost the long-term aftercare of young UK survivors - so children and young adults enjoy a better quality and longer life. For the first ever, researchers are looking into how to assess what personalised care 15-39 year-olds need after their life-saving brain tumour surgery.

The University of Manchester and The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester - using a questionnaire designed by 130 patients - they will garner information from 100 brain tumour survivors as part of their follow-up consultation. If this trial improves the experience for patients, then the plan is to roll it out at to other hospitals around the UK.
