Thousands of young Australians are falling victim to a silent struggle – one that’s hard to pinpoint and even harder to talk about, and the physical effects of which can literally make you sick.
Contrary to common assumptions, research by News Corp’s Growth Distillery with Medibank found it is Millennials and Gen Zers – not Baby Boomers – who are feeling the loneliest.
One in four people from either cohort reported loneliness and isolation as an everyday stressor. It’s also the mental health issue that more than one in two (60 per cent) adults said they were least comfortable talking about.
Australia is in the grips of a mental health crisis, and people are struggling to know who to turn to, especially our younger generations. Can We Talk? is a News Corp awareness campaign, in partnership with Medibank, equipping Aussies with the skills needed to have the most important conversation of their life.
