And what is asked.
An elated Mr Trump posted to his personal Truth Social media service shortly after taking office:
“THIS WILL BE THE GOLDEN AGE OF AMERICA!
WILL THERE BE SOME PAIN? YES, MAYBE (AND MAYBE NOT!).
BUT WE WILL MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, AND IT WILL ALL BE WORTH THE PRICE THAT MUST BE PAID. WE ARE A COUNTRY THAT IS NOW BEING RUN WITH COMMON SENSE — AND THE RESULTS WILL BE SPECTACULAR!!!”
Mr Trump was riding high at the time on some of his highest approval ratings ever.
But two months into his second term as US President, that anticipated pain is becoming evident.
And polls appear to show cracks emerging among supporters as backlash grows around his policies, including tariffs and mass federal worker lay-offs, along with a renewed surge in the cost of living.
