Analysts believe that America, by pressure on Baghdad, is seeking to break Iraq’s economic and military association with Tehran, in order to push the sanctions on Iran over the Nawuri file on the one hand, and to drop the title of the unit of squares on the other hand.

BAGHDAD- Iraq is witnessing an escalation in American economic and financial pressure, which began to tighten the dollar dealings in Iraq and cancel exceptions regarding the import of Iranian gas with pressure to resolve armed factions and the popular crowd, in a move that warns of expanding these sanctions if Baghdad does not take decisive measures to stop their communication with Iran and support its activities in the region.

Analysts consider that this escalation comes in light of the complex challenges that Iraq faces in its foreign policy, as it relied on the strategy of appeasement that depends on distancing and balanced in relations with all parties in an attempt to avoid conflicts and gain the friendliness of everyone.

The popular crowd, according to the draft law related to it, is part of the armed forces, and its affiliates are prohibited to belong to any party or exercise political activity (agencies)
