The Super Netball season kicks off this weekend and the NSW Swifts are the favourites to win their first title since 2021 following the off-season recruitment of New Zealand superstar Grace Nweke.
The Silver Ferns goal shooter terrorised the Aussie Diamonds in last year’s Constellation Cup but by opting to play in Super Netball the 193cm Kiwi has foregone the opportunity to play for New Zealand in 2025.

Nweke is expected to form a lethal combination with Swifts goal attack Helen Housby, who is relishing the prospect of the Swifts’ new dynamic duo in the shooting circle.
“We’ve seen how she played for the Ferns and over in the New Zealand league, she is incredible,” Housby said at Fox Netball’s season launch.
“On the court, she is a weapon. She’s a goal attack’s dream to be honest because she’s so dominant that it makes my job really to work off her.
