UNRWA: Reports of the killing and injury of more than 100 children per day in Gaza

Alghad - 04/04
AMMAN- The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Philip said that reports have been killed and at least 100 per day in Gaza since the resumption of bombing on March 18, according to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF). Lazarini said in a post on the "X" platform on Friday: "It is a snare, that small souls are lost in a war that is not made of children," noting that 15,000 children have been killed since the beginning of the war a year and a half ago. Lazarini pointed out that the ceasefire at the beginning of the year gave an opportunity for Gaza children to survive and live their childhood. He added: "But the resumption of war robbed them again of their childhood, and turned Gaza into a land where there is no place for children. It is a stigma for our common humanity." He stressed that there is no justification for killing children, wherever they are, calling for a ceasefire now. (UNRWA) warned that the situation in the northern West Bank is still very disturbing as a result of the ongoing Israeli military operations/ noting that these operations resulted in the largest wave of population displacement since the 1967 war. UNRWA reported that this operation resulted in systematic destruction and enforced displacement and included demolition orders that affected Palestinian families and refugee camps. -(Petra)
