Toyota And Lexus Expect EV Sales To Grow 700% In Two Years With Onslaught Of New Models

CarBuzz - 09/04
Toyota and Lexus are growing their electrified lineups and expect to gain 7 times more EV sales than they accomplished in 2024.

While the rate of EV adoption may be slowing on a global scale slightly, by some estimations, global electric vehicle sales are anticipated to still grow to more than 31 million new EVs sold a year by 2030, which would account for about 30 percent of all global vehicle sales.

Toyota, which initially dragged its feet with only a couple of initial EV models which underperform against their competitors, doesn't want to be left out of that future EV pie. That's why Toyota, and its luxury arm Lexus, are now planning on having 15 new EVs introduced by the end of 2027.
