Tariff-Related Price Hikes Make America's Only Chicken Tax-Affected Truck Even More Expensive

This rugged pickup was already more expensive than most, and now it's getting even pricier.

Right now there is only one pickup truck in all of the US that has to pay the infamous "Chicken Tax." That truck just got even more bad news, and it has become even more expensive now that the new tariffs are in place.

The truck is the Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster, a luxury off-roader aimed at taking the place of the original Land Rover Defender pickups. The price has now climbed by 10 percent as a result of the tariffs, pushing it even closer to $100,000. That's with Ineos still paying a big part of the full cost of the higher tariffs.
