Cosmetic change. The government made up the corrupt Qali Warma program as Wasi Mikuna, but in less than three months a streak of episodes of sick children was reported to consume the food of the program. If corruption is not liquidated, everything will be repeated.

In what represents the largest crisis of the National School Food Program Wasi Mikuna - before Qali Warma -, between March 25 and April 8, 7 cases of poisoning of approximately 156 schoolchildren in the capital and 6 regions of the country have been reported. The incidents were recorded after the students consumed products bought and distributed by Wasi Mikuna, a name by which the government of President Dina Boluarte renamed Qali Warma.

Palacio Government ordered a total reengineering of Qali Warma on December 4, 2024, as it was exposed that a food producing company, Frigoinca, bribed officials and servers of the program to hide their responsibility for the poisoning of 23 schoolchildren Puno Extreme confidence of Boluarte, and its replacement for Leslie Urteaga, another person of extreme confidence of the head of state, on January 31, 2025.
