Frustration in Wicklow seaside town as new harbour car park remains closed

Independent.ie - 09/04
There has been growing frustration in a Wicklow seaside town as the good weather arrives but a car park located on the water's edge remains closed despite its completion some months ago.

Greystones Councillor Stephen Stokes has called on Sensori Group Management and Sispar to immediately open the newly constructed car park at the harbour, citing growing frustration among local residents and visitors over the ongoing lack of public access to the facility.

"The new car park has been left idle for months,” he said. “They even have parking meters installed. The spring and summer seasons are only around the corner, so we need this car park open without delay. An empty car park that blocks cars is like a passenger train that doesn't allow passengers," he added.

The new car park was built as part of the latest phase of the Greystones Harbour development, which has seen significant investment into the area’s facilities.
