The first fully electric Polestar model has been, at least for now, discontinued for the US. In an interview with Polestar representatives, we learned that the 2026 Polestar 2 will not be available to order. The Chinese-built car faced enormous tariffs set by both the Biden and Trump administrations, and so it makes sense that it would be dropped. The company is still figuring out how to manage tariffs, but it does have some things in its favor.
