We didn't think the S90 would liver forever, but we didn't think it'd go so soon.

The writing's on the wall - a fresh and battery-electric Volvo ES90 has been introduced as the new flagship model, replacing the S90 in the automaker's lineup. We expected the Swedish marque to bring the axe to the not-so-popular executive sedan sooner or later - though we were leaning more on later - but a report has surfaced claiming the schedule for the S90's discontinuation has been accelerated; this year is reportedly the S90's final year.

According to Automotive News, citing an unnamed source familiar with Volvo's plans, the company will be canceling orders for the S90 next year, which will make 2025 the final model year it will be on sale. The reason? The S90 sold in the US is actually built in China, and the most recent 125% tariff imposed by President Trump on products imported from the People's Republic just made it...
