Climate Change Law is in the Turkish Grand National Assembly! Worries are growing: listen to this call

The first 4 articles of the 20 -item Climate Change Law Proposal, discussed in the Turkish Grand National Assembly, were accepted. Prepared by the AK Party and submitted to the General Assembly of the Assembly, the "green growth vision" and "net zero emission target" in line with the aim of the struggle against climate change. However, the content and concerns of the proposal have created controversy in the public opinion.

The proposal can be reached from the official website of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, and various new concepts such as “Fair Transition”, “Emission Trade System (ETS)”, “Buried Greenhouse Gas Emissions”, “Volunteer Carbon Markets” and “Climate Justice”. The general framework of the law proposal includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, compliance with climate change, and creating planning and audit mechanisms related to it.
