Anti -aircraft alarms resonated this Sunday in numerous areas of the center of Israel, including the cities of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, after the launch of at least one missile since Yemen, the Israeli authorities reported, in what constitutes the most recent episode of the regional expansion of the conflict in Gaza.

"After the sirens rang recently in several areas of Israel, after a first review it was determined that a missile was released from Yemen," said the Israeli army in a brief statement.

Another military statement in Hebrew added that "apparently" two "missiles" had been shot and that "there were attempts to intercept them", although it did not categorically confirm the success of the interception as it has done on previous occasions.
