Karak- The procedure for transmission for financial allocations between various projects in the Balancing of the Karak Governorate Council has become necessary to avoid the obstacles that prevent the implementation of these projects for various reasons, as long as the provincial council complains about them. The provincial council held a session last week headed by Dr. Abdullah Al -Abadleh, which was devoted to discussing the transfer of the archeology and public works sectors within the budget of the council for the current year, in addition to following up the progress of work in the projects listed on the executive plans. Al -Abadleh emphasized, during the session, that the council works in the spirit of one team to ensure the completion of vital projects that touch the needs of citizens, noting the importance of continuous coordination with the executive authorities to ensure the proper implementation of the prescribed plans. He also met the head and members of the provincial council, two days ago, the Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abu Al -Samen, to discuss various projects of the provincial council listed on the item of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing projects. Abu Al -Samen affirmed the Ministry's keenness to continue coordination with the provincial councils to achieve the optimal investment of the budgets of the councils, and in a way that contributes to providing the best services to citizens. Abu Al -Samen stressed the necessity of conducting transfers in the budget to pay part of the previous debts and entitled to the implemented projects or those that have not been completed since last year, and whose dues have not been fully paid, before starting the implementation of new projects. The importance of arranging the debt of the council The Minister of Works listened to the demands and observations of the Karak Governorate Council, a date for those concerned in the ministry to work to solve them and conduct the necessary procedure immediately within the assets in coordination with all partners. Abu Al -Samen stressed the necessity of completing the implementation of the province's projects in the works sector before the end of the current year, and providing all forms of support to the partners in the provincial council, while emphasizing the importance of arranging the debt of the council in a way that achieves the interest of all partners, including the contractors who implemented the projects. The Chairman of the Council Al -Abadleh indicated that the allocations for the works sector in the Budget of Karak Governorate for the current year amounted to 2.7 million dinars, of which 745 thousand dinars were allocated to pay the debts of the provincial council, which is 1.58 million dinars, which are dues for contractors who implemented projects in the governorate during the previous years. He also pointed out that the total works of works on the budget for the current year amounted to 10 projects, which were offered 7 bids, and the remaining three projects are expected to be presented in the coming weeks. Al -Abadleh touched on obstacles that faced the projects of the Karak Governorate Council over three years of the age of the current council, which caused the inability to implement the entire projects listed in the budget in those years, and to have to recycle about 6 million dinars for subsequent financial years. He pointed out that the Budget of Karak Governorate every year is the lowest among the Jordanian governorates, which caused the province to lose these projects, and thus the services provided to citizens. The Karak Governorate Council approved the province’s budget for the current year with the reality of capital spending allocations of 8 million and 811 thousand dinars to implement public projects that meet service and development needs in the governorate, and by increasing only about 100 thousand dinars on the budget of last year, which amounted to about 8 million and 696 thousand dinars.
