Today’s updates mostly concern the United States’ tariffs on China, which are of course far higher than those on other countries.

China was left out of Mr Trump’s 90-day pause, last week, on the vast majority of his so-called “reciprocal” tariffs. So the rate on its exports to the US is now 145 per cent, while for almost everyone else it’s at a baseline of 10 per cent.
