Big Pharmaceuticals and big questions The U.S. Secretary of Commerce initiated an investigation under section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act looking at pharmaceuticals, according to the Federal Register . In particular, this is "an investigation to determine the effects on the national security of imports of pharmaceuticals and pharmaceutical ingredients."
