A Queensland university student has claimed the system isn’t fair because she’s working two jobs and “falling behind”, while her friends on Centrelink earn enough not to work.

Alisha Hall, 18, is studying a Bachelor of Health and Science degree full-time and working at a retail store during the day and for a pizza chain in the evenings.

She took to social media to claim that, while she always hears “everyone is equal”, she doesn’t feel that is the case.

“Some uni students are getting so much Centrelink they don’t need to work. While I’m here working two jobs and still not making rent because I’m not eligible [for Centrelink],” she wrote.

Ms Hall claimed she was overworking herself to the point she was “falling behind” on her studies just to make ends meet, tagging the Australian Federal Government in the post.

“Please change your system,” she begged.
