Mohsen Mahdawi, one of the most prominent activists who led the student movement in the United States of America, began his academic career at Birzeit University in Bethlehem, and in 2021 he joined the University of Colombia to study philosophy, and he was scheduled to graduate in May 2025, but the American authorities arrested him upon his arrival at the Immigration Office to take the American Nationality Exam.
