The six women – including pop star Katy Perry and Jeff Bezos’ fiancee Lauren Sanchez – travelled just beyond the edge of space aboard Blue Origin’s reusable New Shepard rocket, before the capsule parachuted back to Earth.

As well as Sanchez and Perry, on board the capsule were morning show icon Gayle King, ex-NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, civil rights activist Amanda Nguyen and film producer Kerianne Flynn.
