Theon Design builds stunning and subtle Porsche recreations. Taking classic 964-generation cars and transforming them with bodywork made from carbon fiber and more powerful air-cooled flat-six engines. Now the company has revealed a model it says boosts its efforts to new heights. A car that is also its first bespoke 911 bound for the US. It's also the company's first with a new switchable engine mapping to let you even more precisely customize every drive.
The company starts with the bare shell of a 964 Porsche 911. From there, it starts rebuilding the car, adding seam welds and reinforcements to stiffen the now 30-year-old chassis. It needs that strength to handle more modern suspension components and to give it a level of rigidity that's more suited to modern cars than the flexible cars of the 1980s.
