The tiny Mazda MX-5 sports car has a culture of V8 swaps, but there is another option for impressive power for small, lightweight cars if a builder is up to the challenge – a motorbike engine swap. In this case, a build is being documented on the Reed Make Car YouTube channel with a second-generation (NB) MX-5 and the 1.0-liter engine from a Honda (Fireblade) CBR1000RR. In the latest installment, Reed has added a turbocharger to the 192-horsepower engine, and the sound it makes is one of devils wailing with delight.
