Elon Musk, leader of companies such as Tesla, Spacex and X, has been one of the most visible promoters of questioning the standard of the eight -hour daily working day. The employer suggests working hours that exceed 40 hours per week.

In his role as administrator of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), an agency that seeks to introduce technological innovations in public management, Musk has assured that his employees work up to 120 hours per week.

"Our bureaucratic opponents, optimistic, work 40 hours per week. That is why they are losing so fast," said Musk, justifying the workload as a strategic need.
