The regime of Iran and the United States, which concluded this Saturday in Rome a second round of conversations about Tehran's nuclear program, seek an agreement that guarantees that the Islamic Republic does not have nuclear weapons, said the Foreign Ministry of Oman, the mediating country.

The two parties "agreed to enter the next phase of their discussions, which aim to seal a fair, lasting and binding agreement that guarantees an Iran totally free of nuclear weapons and sanctions, and that maintains their ability to develop peaceful nuclear energy," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oman in X.
