Scots actor Jack Lowden has been made an honorary resident of the English town of Slough thanks to his starring role in hit TV show Slow Horses.

Scots actor Jack Lowden has been made an honorary resident of the English town of Slough thanks to his starring role in hit TV show Slow Horses.

The star of the spy drama was honoured by the local council alongside Martin Freeman, who featured in classic Slough-set comedy The Office.

In Slow Horses, the MI5 branch in London where Lowden’s character River Cartwright works alongside washed-up spies is nicknamed Slough House.
