Louth County Council has been urged to explore the possibility of turning an old pitch & putt course on the Point Road into an all-weather pitch facility for local GAA and soccer clubs.
The pitch & putt course has been abandoned for a number of years following the council’s decision to revoke the license for the course after it was passed to a third party in 2021.
There was a suggestion at the time that it could form part of a revamp of the Navvy Bank walk, but that project never materialised and a local councillor believes the land would be of huge benefit to both Quay... [Short citation of 8% of the original article]
