Independent.ie -
22/04
Met Éireann has forecast a mix of sunshine and rain today, with high pressure on the horizon, expected to bring warmer weather from next week.
It will be a week of showers and sunny spells, but temperatures are set to hit 17 degrees on Saturday and are expected to improve afterwards.
It means the country could be looking forward to another sunny period, this time coming into the May Bank Holiday weekend.
This morning, it will be mostly cloudy with some hazy sunshine across the eastern half of the country.
Rain in the west will continue to extend eastwards through the morning and early afternoon, with some heavy downpours possible.
Showers or longer spells of rain will follow from the west later in the afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of between 10 to 14 degrees are expected.
