PSNI to carry out tests on NI road where woman was struck in fatal crash

Police will return to the scene of a fatal traffic collision in Co Antrim this week to carry out tests.

Officers from the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit investigating a pedestrian being struck by a car on Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on January 13 will conduct the tests on Wednesday night.

A woman aged in her 80s died in hospital as a result of injuries sustained in the crash which happened shortly before 6.15pm.

The road will be closed for a number of hours from 9.30pm onwards with diversions in place at the junctions ...
