Insecurity: Okpebholo holds stakeholders' meetings with political, traditional, religious leaders in Edo North

Worried by the unabated insecurity in the state, the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has convened a security stakeholders’ meeting with political, traditional, and religious leaders in Edo North senatorial district.

DAILY POST reports that the meeting was held at Iyamho, the country home of Senator Adams Oshiomhole in Etsako West Local Government Area of the state.

The closed-door meeting that lasted for over three hours was attended by prominent political, religious, and traditional leaders and heads of security agencies in the State.

It was also attended by other key stakeholders to brainstorm on how best to address the unbridled security challenges in the Senatorial district.

Speaking to newsmen after the meeting, Governor Okpebholo assured that under his watch, criminal elements would not succeed in destabilizing the state.

He vowed to deal decisively with criminals and make the state uninhabitable for their activities, saying the security stakeholders’ meeting had become necessary to ensure that peace and security are maintained across the state and in the senatorial district.
