A sector along the northern border with Canada has seen a dramatic decline in apprehensions of illegal immigrants, the White House said Tuesday when comparing March 2024 to last month.

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt reported illegal alien apprehensions at the Swanson sector of the northern border are down 95% when comparing the 54 made in March 2025 to the more than a thousand in March 2024.

The number of illegal immigrants caught along one northern border sector that was once "overrun by illegal migrants" has dramatically declined under the Trump administration after it saw thousands of unlawful crossings last year, the White House said Tuesday.
