USAID funded things detrimental to some nations - State Department

The U.S. Department of State on Tuesday provided further insight into the “fold in” of the United States Agency for International Development, USAID, which oversees foreign aid and development assistance.

At a press briefing, spokesperson Tammy Bruce explained that the reorganisation of the State Department, announced by Secretary Marco Rubio, would enhance the efficiency of its bureaus and offices.

Bruce stated that incorporating USAID into the State Department “makes perfect sense” as opposed to it being a “monolithic entity” in Washington, D.C., that unilaterally made decisions regarding aid and its recipients.
