Bluegrass BBQ
The Bluegrass BBQ is taking place on Saturday 31st May at Donard Community Hall, kicking off with a BBQ from 5pm. The event features some of the best Bluegrass bands around including Whistle, Dublin Bluegrass Collective and the Blueberry Pickers, bringing you a day of foot-stomping Bluegrass, Americana and Country. Tickets, at €20, are on sale from Toomey’s Bar, O’Keeffe’s Store in Donard and online from Eventbrite.
This is a community fundraiser with all proceeds going to community projects in Donard/Glen. This is a ticket only event so get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. Event is strictly over 18’s
C.C.E. Mini Fleadh
Donard C.C.E. is holding a Mini Fleadh on Tuesday 6th May in Donard Hall from 8pm till late. This will be a night full of Music, song, dance and craic. Refreshments will be available. Everybody welcome.

Sympathy to Ann Sully and family on the death of Ann’s brother Joe O’Leary. Joe’s funeral took place in Kilcullen, may he rest in peace.
Parish Lotto Draw
Our Parish Lotto Draw returns on a monthly basis with our first draw returning on Saturday, May 17th at the Bingo in the Imaal Hall.
Tickets are now on sale from the Parish centre and our promoters at €10 per month. If you’d like to become a promoter please call into the Parish centre for a card.
Monthly prizes are €1,000, €250, €100 and 3 prizes of €50. For further details please contact Breda on 086 3598866 or the Parish office on 045 401871. The best of luck! A list of our May winners will be available on the Church notice board.
Proceeds will go towards installing a Fire alarm system in the Church and general maintenance.
Class Reunion
A class reunion of students in St. Kevin’s Community College in the years 1988/89 will take place in Germaine’s, Baltinglass on June 7th. Anyone interested in going or helping organise it can contact Catherine McEnroe, on 087 2020795.

An evening of country and western music will take place in Rathsallagh House on Sunday April 27th from 5pm to 7.30pm. Featuring Shawn Cuddy and Alistair Fingleton. Tickets €15. Telephone 045 403112.
Death
The death took place of John Brown, peacefully in Naas Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and William, wife Mary, sister Winnie. Deeply regretted by his sister Margaret, brother William, sisters-in-law Marie, Teresa and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Tom and Seamus, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends. John’s funeral took place in Dunlavin. May he rest in peace.
