Major show at Military Museum

The next major show at the Irish Military Museum is on May 4th and you won’t want to miss it.

The museum, at Broomfield, Collon, is a must visit attraction.

Travelling on the N2 from Dublin/Slane, turn right onto the L56051 (DPD depot) and continue straight on the L2295. Coming from this direction, you don’t pass through Collon. If you travelling on the N2 from the opposite direction, you pass through Collon and continue for another few hundred meters, and then turn left at the DPD depot. There is plenty of parking space available at the museum.

Collon is served both by Collins coaches (Dublin - Carrickmacross) and Bus Eireann (Drogheda - Monaghan). Exit the bus at Donegan’s pub (or opposite, depending which direction you’re travelling). Then walk a few metres along the N2 (towards Slane). There is a footpath. You’ll cross a bridge and right after that, turn left at the pitch & putt club. Follow that road. You’ll walk for about 20 - 30 minutes until you reach a T-crossing (there is a beautiful, inviting bench there, so have a wee rest if you like). Turn left at the crossing and continue for another good few metres. The museum will be on your left.

They don’t serve any food at the museum, but you are more than welcome to bring your own food and enjoy it in the picnic area. A choice of soft drinks as well as tea/coffee is available in the museum’s shop.

Featuring the fabulously talented students from Kidkast Collon. The show is on April 27 at the Droichead Arts Centre.
