The 911 Spirit 70, based on the Carrera GTS cabriolet, features Pasha fabric, the automaker's most iconic upholstery of all time.

Porsche loves a good historical homage. Following the 1950s-inspired 911 Targa 4S Heritage Edition and the '60s-throwback 911 Sport Classic will be a new limited edition called the Spirit 70, and as its name suggests, it will be a tribute to classic Porsche design from the disco era. Based on the 911 Carrera GTS cabriolet with rear-wheel drive, the Spirit 70 features a vibrant color scheme, tacky-fabulous hood graphics, and – best of all – psychedelic Pasha upholstery scattered throughout the cabin. The 911 Spirit 70 is limited to 1,500 units, and like its forebears, it won't come cheap. Prices start at a whopping $240,000 plus $2,250 for destination and delivery.

Designed To Cut Up The Checkerboard Dance Floor

The Spirit 70 comes in one color combination, but fortunately, it's a good one. The Olive Neo paint was created specifically for the special edition, and it's clearly a remix of the original Olivegreen color found on the automaker's late-1960s and 1970s products. The car rides on Fuchs-inspired Sport Classic center-locking wheels measuring 20 inches in the front and 21 inches in back, painted in Bronzite to coordinate with the dirty-martini bodywork. A trio of matte-black stripes on the hood germinate from a stretched 9-1-1 graphic, and they invert to light gray when they hit the roof.
