Complaint against a group pointed out as responsible for the 'management' of the actions was unanimously accepted in the first class of the Court

The first class of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) made defendants six more former member of the government of Jair Bolsonaro, accused of participating in a plan to try to keep the former president in power.

Now they will be criminally prosecuted for five crimes: coup, violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, armed criminal organization, damage qualified by violence and serious threat against the union's assets and deterioration of listed assets.

The decision of the first class-formed by ministers Alexandre de Moraes (rapporteur of the case), Flávio Dino, Cristiano Zanin, Cármen Lúcia and Luiz Fux-was unanimous, in a trial held on Tuesday (22/4).

The new defendants are accused by the Attorney General's Office (PGR) of joining the Core 2 of a criminal organization that would have sought illegally interfering in the 2022 election and then tried to prevent the inauguration of the then-elected president, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

According to the prosecution, this core would do the "management of actions" ordered by the crucial nucleus, from which the main decisions for the attempted coup would have gone.
